How Our Caregivers Support Local Veterans

Veterans often face unique challenges—chronic conditions, mobility limitations, or memory changes—that require steady, knowledgeable support. Our caregivers help with essential daily living tasks such as:

  • Safe walking and transfers
  • Toileting and hygiene routines
  • Meal prep and light housekeeping
  • Transportation and appointment support
  • Memory-friendly structure and engagement

Every veteran receives compassionate care that’s personalized, reliable, and centered on respect.

VA Benefits That May Help Cover Home Care

Aid and Attendance (A&A) Pension

Homemaker & Home Health Aide (H/HHA)

Homemaker & Home Health Aide (H/HHA)

The VA Aid and Attendance benefit is an added monthly payment for eligible veterans and surviving spouses who need help with everyday activities. It’s meant to ease the cost of care and support safer, more comfortable living.

Eligibility may include:

  • A veteran or surviving spouse who meets VA pension service requirements (generally wartime service with a discharge other than dishonorable).
  • A need for assistance with daily living (such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting) or being largely housebound.
  • Meeting VA income and net worth guidelines. Some veterans with service-connected disabilities may qualify under different financial rules.

How it helps:

  • Provides financial support that can be used toward in-home care, assisted living, or nursing care.
  • Increases the monthly VA pension amount to better cover daily care needs.

Homemaker & Home Health Aide (H/HHA)

Homemaker & Home Health Aide (H/HHA)

The VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide program helps veterans who want to remain at home but need extra support with personal care and daily living. Services are provided through VA-approved agencies and are supervised as part of the veteran’s overall care plan.

Eligibility may include:

  • Enrollment in VA health care.
  • A clinical need for help with activities of daily living due to a medical condition (such as bathing, dressing, meal support, or mobility).
  • Services must be authorized through a VA physician or care team.

How it helps:

  • Provides hands-on, in-home assistance based on the veteran’s assessed needs and care goals.
  • Offers reassurance for veterans and their families by supporting safety, independence, and routine at home.

Copays, if any, depend on VA eligibility and service-connected status.
